The Strokes were announced as the 2011 headliner for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in April, as well as Festival Internacional de Benicassim (Spain), Super Bock Super Rock (Portugal) in July and Summer Sonic (Japan) in August .
